Czech steelmaker Třinecké Železárny has announced that it will invest more than CZK 1 billion ($45.2 million) this year for optimization and decarbonization of its production processes, with the aim of improving product quality, reducing energy consumption and increasing the recycling rate of metallurgical gases.

In addition to the construction of new distribution systems and security and measurement systems for coke ovens, the company will start work on its Iron Ore Briquetting Line project, which will enable the elimination of carbon emissions. The new line is scheduled to be commissioned in mid-2025, as SteelOrbis previously reported.
