Germany's commercial vehicle output down seven percent in February

In February this year, commercial vehicle registrations in the German market totaled 25,497 units, up 2.9 percent month on month and remaining stable year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of theAutomotiveIndustry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the first two months of this year,Germany's commercial vehicle registrations increased by one percent year on year, totaling 50,264 units.
According to the VDA, in February this year 26,710 commercial vehicles rolled offproductionGermany, which represents a month-on-month increase of 48.5 percent and a year-on-year decline of seven percent. German commercial vehicle output in the January-February period of the current year amounted to 44,692 units, declining 16 percent compared to the same period last year.
In the given month, a total of 20,510 commercial vehicles were exported fromGermany, up by 57.4 percent month on month and decreasing by seven percent compared to February last year. In the first two months of the current year, German commercial vehicle exports amounted to 33,533 units, declining by 16 percent on year-on-year basis.
