According to the data provided by theJapanAutomobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in August this year Japanese automobileproduction(including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 695,761 units, rising by 5.6 percent compared to the same month of last year.
Domestic automobile sales in August inJapanstood at 355,307 vehicles, up 5.5 percent as compared with the same month of 2016. In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in August amounted to 359,536 units, up by 9.8 percent year on year.
