China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (January 1-7) the overall average finished steel price inChinadecreased by 1.0 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices ofrebar, high-speedwire rod, common steel round bar and welded steelpipeinChinarespectively decreased by 1.5 percent, 1.4 percent, 1.0 percent and 0.9 percent, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals inChinaedged up by 0.3 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 2.5 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average prices of coal inChinarose by 0.3 percent week on week. In particular, the prices ofcoking coal, anthracite coal and thermal coal increased by 0.5 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, all week on week.
