SAIL achieves highest-ever crude steel output in FY 2022-23

Indian state-run steel producer Steel Authority ofIndiaLimited (SAIL) achievedcrude steelproduction of 18.29 million mt in the fiscal year 2022-23, the highest-ever annual production by mills under its fold, a company statement said on Monday, April 3.  

The output of 18.29 million mt ofcrude steelwas 5.3 percent higher compared to production achieved in the fiscal year 2021-22, the statement said.
