US mechanical tubing exports up 50.6 percent in January

According to export data from theUSDepartment of Commerce,USexports of mechanicaltubingtotaled 6,312 mt in January 2023, up 50.6 percent from December and up 6.2 percent from January 2022. By value, mechanicaltubingexports totaled $18.3 million in January, compared to $13.3 million in the previous month and $18.9 million the same month last year.

TheUSshipped the most mechanicaltubingto Mexico in January with 3,012 mt, compared to 2,011 mt in December and 4,100 mt in January 2022. Other top destinations included Canada, with 2,717 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) forUSmechanicaltubingexports in January.
