US OCTG exports up 6.6 percent in March

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 16,759 mt in March 2020, up 6.6 percent from February but down 5.5 percent from March 2019 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $33.4 million in March, compared to $32.8 million in the previous month and $34.8 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in March with 11,801 mt, compared to 10,892 mt in February and 4,779 mt in March 2019. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 1,282 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US OCTG exports in March.
