Some local Turkish scrap prices reduced, but most stable

Monday, 06 September 2021 17:29:57 (GMT+3) |Istanbul

Today, September 6, some Turkish mills have decreased their domesticscrappurchase prices by TRY 30-160/mt or $2-18/mt, depending on grades. Other steelmakers have just kept their quotations stable, which resulted in a $1-2/mt increase in their dollar-based prices. The changes in dollar-based quotations resulted from the appreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar. According to market sources, scrapflow to mills is currently quiet strong.

As a result, the general range in the local Turkishscrapmarket for the benchmark DKP gradescraphas remained stable at TRY 3,520-4,265, while dollar-based quotations moved from $424-514/mt to $426-516/mt.
